The founding of the Party, the Communist Party of China. After the establishment of the Chinese Communist Party on July 23, 1921, under the brutal rule of the reactionary warlord government, it was only in secret and there was no open environment for activities. During the Great Revolution, the Party was busy with the cooperation between the KMT and the Chinese Communist Party, launched the workers’ and peasants’ movement, and supported the Northern Expedition. There was no condition to commemorate the birth of the Party. The anniversary of the birth of the Chinese Communist Party on July 1 was proposed by Comrade Mao Zedong in May 1938.
In 1941, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China decided to use July 1, 1921 as the founding day of the Communist Party of China. From July 1st each year thereafter, the whole party will warmly celebrate the anniversary of the birth of the party.
